Council Meeting

THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby adopts the January 18, 2021 Committee of the Whole Meeting Minutes, the January 18, 2021 Council Meeting Minutes AND the February 1, 2021 Committee of the Whole Meeting Minutes.

That Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby ratifies and confirms payment of the January 2021 accounts in the amount of $1,127,085.31.

That the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby authorizes payment of the February 2021 accounts in the amount of $724,848.39

That Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby approves Report Number TR2021-02-10 prepared by Jodi MacArthur, Treasurer and approves the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority Priorities and Draft Budget.

THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby receives for information Report No. CAO-2021-02-8 prepared by Mary Rose Walden, Chief Administrative Officer AND receives the Waste Management Services Review – Final Report prepared by Dillon Consulting dated January 2021.

That the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby receives for information Report Number CLK2021-02-15 prepared by Kelly Lush, Deputy Clerk.

THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby supports the Township of South West Oxford in their concerns with speeding on Provincial, County and municipal roads and in their request to be able to use Automatic Speed Enforcement (photo radar) to help eliminate speeding and increase safety without the excess cost of Provincial Policing and FURTHER direct staff to forward a copy of this resolution to the Premier, AMO and all Ontario municipalities.

THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby supports the the Municipality of West Grey in their request that the Provincial government to repeal Bill 229 Schedule 8 that amends the Crown Forest Sustainability Act in order to exempt all forestry operations from mandatory consideration of species at risk protection and recovery as mandated by the Endangered Species Act and removes the ability to issue orders in circumstances when there is imminent danger to a species at risk AND FURTHER directs staff to forward a copy of this resolution to Premier Ford, the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry, the Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, MPP Bill Walker, Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound, MPP Ian Arthur, NDP Environment Critic, Grey County Council, Ontario municipalities, Association of Municipalities of Ontario, Conservation Ontario, Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority and Grey Sauble Conservation Authority.

THAT the following By-Laws be read a first, second, third time and finally passed this 16th day of February, 2021: By-Law No. 2021-08 being the Dissolve the Nuclear Waste Community Advisory Committee By-Law No. 2021-09 being the Consolidated Appointment By-Law By-Law No. 2021-10 being the Accept BMRoss Proposal Growth Servicing and Master Plan By-Law

THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby receives for information all items listed in Section 9.

THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby receives all items listed in Section 11

THAT By-Law No. 2021-11 being the February, 2021 Confirmatory By-Law be read a first, second, third time and finally passed this 16th day of February, 2021.
