THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Committee of the Whole hereby supports Township of South Frontenac support Bill 214 passed by the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in 2020 to make Daylight Saving Time standard time AND directs staff to distribute as they see fit.

THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Committee of the Whole hereby support the City of Kitchener in urging the Government of Ontario to, as expeditiously as possible, amend the Ontario Fire Code Sentence 9.5.3.3.(3) to require that closures (doors) entering exit stairwells be equipped with both self-closing devices and positive latching AND directs staff to distribute as they see fit.

THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Committee of the Whole hereby supports Bradford West Gwillimbury in declaring its opposition to Quebec’s Bill 21 that unfairly discriminates against public-sector workers by directly infringing on their freedom of religion and freedom of expression rights as enshrined into law by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms; and supports efforts to see this discriminatory law overturned AND direct staff to distribute as they see fit.

THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Committee of the Whole hereby receives for information Report CLK-2022-01-5 prepared by Emily Dance, Clerk.

That the Township of Huron-Kinloss Committee of the Whole hereby receives for information Report Number CLK-2022-01-6 prepared by Kelly Lush, Deputy Clerk
