Council Meeting

THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby approves the November 16, 2020 Council Meeting Minutes, the December 7, 2020 Committee of the Whole Meeting Minutes and the December 9, 2020 Council (Special) Meeting Minutes as presented.

That Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby ratifies and confirms payment of the November 2020 accounts in the amount of $1,485,302.69.

That Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby approves Report Number TR-2020-12-84 prepared by Jodi MacArthur, Treasurer and approves the 2021 Saugeen Mobility and Regional Transit operational budget.

That the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby approves Report Number TR2020-12-85 prepared by Jodi MacArthur, Treasurer and approves the 2021 Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority budget.

That the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council herby receives for information, Report Number TR-2020-12-88 as prepared by Phyllis Hunter, Taxation/Revenue Clerk

That Township of Huron-Kinloss Council receives for information Report Number TR-2020-12-86 prepared by Jodi MacArthur, Treasurer.

THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby receives for information Report No. CLK-2020-12 prepared by Emily Dance, Clerk.

That the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby approves Report Number CLK-2020-11-99 prepared by Emily Dance, Clerk AND approves the Community Safety and Well-Being Planning Report AND FURTHER supports in principle a $5,000 contribution for 2021 SUBJECT to final approval during 2021 budget deliberations.

THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby approves Report No. CLK-2020-12-112 prepared by Emily Dance, Clerk AND appoints Larry Allison and Sarah McKenzie to the Township of Huron-Kinloss Property Standards Committee AND FURTHER the appropriate amending By-Law be brought forward on tonight’s agenda.

That the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby receives for information Report Number CLK2020-12-110 prepared by Kelly Lush, Deputy Clerk.

THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby grants the Big Brothers Big Sisters Kincardine and District 84 hours of rental space in the Ripley Huron Community Centre Social Room SUBJECT to the rentals occur during regular business hours and do not impact paid bookings.

THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council support the Region of Peel in their support for Property Tax Exemptions for Veteran Clubs and the proposed amendment to the 2020 budget bill (Bill 229) to amend the Assessment Act that would provide a full property tax exemption to veterans’ clubs retroactive to January 1, 2019 AND FURTHER directs staff to forward a copy of this resolution to local members of Parliament and all Ontario Municipalities.

THAT the following By-Laws be read a first, second, third time and finally passed this 21st day of December, 2020: By-Law No. 2020-146 being the Purchase Angus Street and 86 William Street By-Law By-Law No. 2020-147 being the Deeming Lots 14 and 15 Plan 3M-217 11 and 13 Sunset Place Point Clark By-Law By-Law No. 2020-148 being the Appoint Pollard District Chief - Lucknow By-Law By-Law No. 2020-149 being the Appoint Hamilton Deputy District Chief - Lucknow By-Law By-Law No. 2020-150 being the Appoint Martyn District Chief - Ripley By-Law

THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby receives for information all items listed in Section 11.
